Sindragosa dove down from the sky, her majestic power over extreme cold instantly forming a staircase of ice where she landed.
Chen Xu and the other four descended from her back.
Chen Xu then recalled Sindragosa into the Undead Divine Court.
"Mr. Chen Xu."
A familiar voice called out from the distance.
"Mr. Hale, it has been a long time."
Chen Xu looked toward the source of the voice. It was his old acquaintance and client, Hale Nicholas of Yinglun, and beside him stood the Queen of Yinglun, Elizabeth VI.
"Hahaha, Mr. Chen Xu, it has been quite a while since we last met. I have missed our interactions. I sent several invitations to Daxia hoping you would attend Yinglun's anniversary celebrations, but I was always told you were too busy with important matters to find the time."
Hale stepped forward proactively to exchange pleasantries, acting as if they were close friends.
Just as Chen Xu was about to respond, he saw a monk in white robes walking slowly toward him from behind Hale, clutching a secret tome.
The secret tome in the monk's hands radiated a Dao rhyme unique to the eternal-tier.
A glimmer of spectral light flashed in Chen Xu's eyes. Under his soul vision, he saw that beneath the monk's skin was a core of blazing Saint Light energy.
Chen Xu stepped forward, moving past Hale.
"May I ask which Priest I am addressing?"
The eternal-tier beings of the Land of the Undead were generally called Necrotic Archdukes, while those of Heaven were known as Angel Priests, alongside the combat-oriented Archangels.
Since the figure before him looked like a monk, Chen Xu guessed he was an Angel Priest rather than one of those bloodthirsty Archangels.
A voice that was neither masculine nor feminine rang out.
"A Necromancer who steals the power of the undead has actually managed to achieve the rank of Necrotic Archduke. Moreover, you are so young. You truly deserve to be called the number one in this world."
The monk did not answer Chen Xu's question directly, instead offering praise.
Then, a brilliant light erupted from the monk. The white robes fell away, revealing his true form.
He was a tall, humanoid being clad in heavy, pure gold armor that looked solemn and majestic, engraved with patterns representing Heaven.
In his left hand, he held a scepter of pure silver with three energy orbs rotating slowly at its tip. In his right hand, he held the secret tome from before.
Beneath his helmet, his face remained shrouded in darkness, impossible to see.
Priests commanded the armies of Heaven with scepters and secret tomes, while Archangels fought on the front lines with longswords.
"Angel Priest Alifa. It is an honor to meet you."
Alifa held his scepter across his chest as twelve pairs of wings of light unfurled behind him. The power of Saint Light instantly filled the entire venue, and golden feathers manifested in the air—the physical embodiment of the Dao rhyme of Saint Light.
A single feather of light drifted down with the wind and landed on Chen Xu's right shoulder. Instantly, a sizzling sound like frying oil erupted.
The feather vanished, turning into a puff of pure Saint Light energy.
"Necrotic Archduke, Chen Xu."
Chen Xu responded in kind. A wave of gray energy rippled out from beneath his feet. Wherever it passed, the Saint Light receded and the feathers of light shattered.
When the necrotic aura reached Alifa's armor, the engravings on the pure gold surface lit up, and the power of runes activated to repel the necrotic energy.
If someone were looking down from high above at this moment, they would see two circles: a large gray circle centered on Chen Xu and a smaller pure white circle centered on Alifa.
Initially, after seeing Alifa's flashy entrance, Chen Xu had considered transforming as well.
However, his only transformation form was the Bone Angel. After some consideration, Chen Xu felt it was better not to transform into a Bone Angel in front of an actual Angel Priest.
It wasn't that he was afraid; it was simply that such a direct, taunting provocation was unnecessary.
Instead, Chen Xu simply released his own Dao rhyme to suppress Alifa's Saint Light.
Alifa did not seem to mind Chen Xu's actions. In the Myriad Worlds, there were thousands of different greeting etiquettes; he simply assumed Chen Xu's behavior was a custom unique to this world.
"Mr. Chen Xu, I was previously unaware that a Necrotic Archduke like yourself existed in this world. Since that is the case, the previous contract is hereby nullified."
The secret tome in Alifa's right hand flipped open automatically, its pages fluttering rapidly until a contract flew out and hovered in the air.
Chen Xu glanced at it, but before he could read it clearly, the contract burst into flames and turned to ash.
The time was too short—only a few dozen milliseconds—but since there were at least a thousand clauses on those pages, Chen Xu only managed to see about half of them.
Essentially, Heaven would support the Bald Eagle and train mythic-tier Heavenly Paladins for them.
In exchange, the entire world of Blue Star would have to join the faith of Heaven, and all job-holders of legendary-tier or higher would have to join Heaven's expeditionary forces to fight demons in the Outerworld Battlefield.
However, all these schemes were burned to ash the moment an eternal-tier being like Chen Xu appeared.
Behind Alifa, a Transcendent from the Bald Eagle saw the contract being incinerated and widened his eyes, stepping forward as if to argue.
"Lord Alifa, didn't you say..."
Before the Bald Eagle Transcendent could finish, seductive Flowers of Death began to grow from his body. They sprouted first from his mouth, eyes, and nostrils, then from his chest, back, and limbs.
"Bang!"
Having his life force sucked dry by the Flower of Death, the Transcendent fell to his knees and collapsed face-first onto the ground.
The Flower of Death continued to grow as his soul was drained and his flesh withered. Even his hard bones had their essence extracted, turning into a pile of gray dust.
This horrifying death caused the expressions of everyone present to change drastically.
But Chen Xu acted as if nothing had happened, looking at Alifa with a smile.
"Mr. Alifa, I wonder if you would be interested in having a chat?"
"Mr. Chen Xu, although I would very much like to converse and discuss the Dao with a fellow Necrotic Archduke, the demons of Hell are truly frenzied. Unless it is something very important, I must return to oversee the battlefield."
"Hahaha, what I wish to discuss with you, Mr. Alifa, is precisely related to Hell."
"Oh?"
Hearing Chen Xu's words, Alifa's tone carried a hint of emotion for the first time.
Even the recent use of the Flower of Death hadn't stirred his emotions. In a conversation between eternal-tier beings, if a mythic-tier dared to intrude, their death was only natural.
Furthermore, the contract had been destroyed; the Bald Eagle and Heaven no longer had any connection.
In Alifa's eyes, everything that had just happened was merely Blue Star's internal business, and it was not his place as a foreign Priest to interfere.
To put it bluntly, the Heaven faction only cared about the individual at the eternal-tier.
"Mr. Chen Xu, if it is something related to Hell, then I am indeed quite interested."
Alifa then raised his scepter lightly and slammed it down heavily.
"Dong—"
Saint Light energy converged in the air, outlining the pattern of a complex circular gate.
With a wave of Alifa's scepter, the circular gate slowly opened.
"Mr. Chen Xu, why don't you join me in my Traveling Palace for a talk?"
Chen Xu looked through the light gate. Beyond it was a magnificent pure gold palace where a large group of angels in civilian attire were lined up.
Seeing this extravagant background, Chen Xu immediately guessed that this was the Priest's Traveling Palace famous throughout the Myriad Worlds.
As the largest divine faction in the Myriad Worlds, Heaven not only possessed immense strength but also excelled at maintaining appearances. This Traveling Palace was known as a mobile Heaven, traveling with the Angel Priests across the worlds to spread the gospel of Heaven.
"The Traveling Palace is famous throughout the Myriad Worlds. Since you have extended such a gracious invitation, Mr. Alifa, I naturally cannot refuse. After you."
Alifa nodded and led the way into the light gate.
Chen Xu looked back at Xia Qiming and the others, signaling that he would be back shortly, before stepping into the light gate as well.
"Swish—"
After Chen Xu entered, the light gate closed instantly, leaving the stunned people of Blue Star behind.
"They just left? The number one man on Blue Star and that angel?"
"My God, that was the Punisher, ranked fifth on the power rankings, and he just died like that? Did any of you see how that Mythic Chen attacked?"
"Shh, don't talk nonsense if you don't want trouble."
"Wait, look at the power rankings!"
"The power rankings? What about them?"
