Chapter 108 | Please Stop Possessing Me, Lord Evil God!

"Damn, what the hell? Even gods and ghosts have no manners these days."

Lu Xun grumbled as he cursed, having nearly had his head split open by the water cup.

Compared to the initial terror when he mistook the purple-eyed youth for a ghost, he had managed to steady his mind for the time being.

After all, he had recognized that the other party was a boss from the game he had played. It seemed that because he had cursed him too harshly last time, the guy couldn't take it and had crawled out of the game to confront him in real life.

To be honest, this situation was actually scarier than a simple haunting.

But for some reason, Lu Xun felt even calmer now.

Perhaps it was his natural sense of superiority at play, but he truly couldn't maintain a cowardly or fearful appearance in front of the purple-eyed youth.

He was simply baffled by the current situation.

Furthermore, the other claimed to be a god, yet aside from crawling out of the monitor, his performance was no different from an ordinary person. He had even resorted to throwing a water cup.

Was this really how a god was supposed to act?

"Hahahaha... Hahahaha!"

Lu Xun followed the sound of the somewhat crazed laughter toward the purple-eyed youth on the balcony.

The youth was laughing almost frantically now. Under the brilliant moonlight, the dark purple light particles surrounding his body made him look more and more like a deity. That divine pressure and the eternally burning purple flames added a layer of divinity to his presence.

Lu Xun's expression stiffened, and his heart began to pound.

"Damn, you've got to be kidding me. Is this guy really a god?"

The purple-eyed youth continued to laugh, seeming to have forgotten everything except himself. However, his laughter didn't sound triumphant or arrogant; on the contrary, Lu Xun could clearly feel the desolation and self-mockery within it.

It was the helplessness of facing reality.

"What the hell are you laughing at in the middle of the night!"

A head suddenly popped out from the balcony next door, shouting at the purple-eyed youth.

However, after seeing his completely naked body, the man's expression blanked. He muttered "nutcase" under his breath and pulled his head back inside.

The purple-eyed youth seemed to have tired of laughing, and the sound gradually died down.

He turned his head, his beautiful but cold purple eyes staring at Lu Xun.

"This is truly an absurd world, Xun."

At this moment, he once again possessed the majesty befitting a god.

"I never quite understood why you chose such a meaningless divine title as 'Xun.' For this world, can a divine title that cannot generate faith truly have any meaning?"

"And the answer you gave me was that gods do not need to rely on humans; gods exist in the world, and their meaning is bestowed by humans."

"Existence and meaning are two different things to you."

"You are the most special of all the gods, which is why only you can jump out of that unique framework. Only you can change the source of this world, purging and exiling all corruption."

"Because you are both a god and a human."

The purple-eyed youth looked at him calmly and coldly.

Lu Xun felt the scene before him was absurdly bizarre—a naked youth, body burning with illusory purple light, speaking in a serious tone with riddles that no one could understand.

Was the world crazy, or was he?

Seeing that Lu Xun didn't understand at all, the purple-eyed youth smiled mockingly to himself and said, "Do you know what I saw when I looked up at the sky just now?"

Lu Xun ignored him. He felt the current purple-eyed youth was far too strange and didn't want to have any interaction with him at all.

He hid his phone behind his back, silently dialing the emergency number.

"I saw that bright moon and the many stars. They hang in the sky, forever looking down upon this planet with disdain, yet they can never reach it." Seeing no reaction from Lu Xun, the purple-eyed youth continued.

But to Lu Xun, these words were complete nonsense.

When you look up at night, if you don't see the moon and stars, what are you supposed to see? A flying trapeze artist?

Lu Xun was speechless, but his hand was honest as he pressed the call button.

"It went through?" Lu Xun's expression brightened.

"The number you have dialed is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."

"?" Lu Xun froze, bringing his phone out from behind his back in disbelief. "No signal?"

"I cannot accept this result as the established future, so I must stop you here. I will never let things go as you wish." The purple-eyed youth's voice carried a sacred, majestic echo. As each word he spoke fell, Lu Xun could clearly see the surrounding environment becoming increasingly chaotic.

Until his last syllable fell, they both found themselves within a distorted and chaotic space.

"No way, you're for real?!"

Lu Xun spoke in disbelief.

Seeing that the other party truly possessed supernatural power, Lu Xun was completely stunned, having no idea what to do.

However, the purple-eyed youth, seeing Lu Xun's reaction, only found it laughable. "Do you truly know nothing?"

"What the hell am I supposed to know!" Lu Xun shouted, reaching his breaking point.

The purple-eyed youth clenched his fists, his expression turning into one of fury as the veins on his forehead bulged. "Enough!"

He violently swung his hand forward, and a terrifying bolt of magic light, shaped like a curved blade of light, flew straight toward Lu Xun.

Lu Xun's breath hitched at the sight.

The feeling of facing extraordinary power in person was completely different from being in a game.

In the game, he wasn't afraid at all; he could even face it with ease. At worst, he would just die and start over.

But in reality, he would actually die!

He instinctively crossed his arms in front of him and closed his eyes in fear. Just as the magic light was about to cut through him, he suddenly felt a burning pain in his chest.

It was a cluster of flames—a hot, hopeful flame.

At that moment, it erupted with powerful energy, instantly dispersing the terrifying magic light.

Lu Xun opened his eyes in a daze.

He was bathed in a warm fluorescence, a brilliant golden radiance enveloping his entire body, just like a god.

"See, I knew it."

The purple-eyed youth didn't look surprised; he seemed to have long expected this.

"What is going on?" Lu Xun observed the changes in his body with a face full of shock. His mind was clearer than ever before, and he felt a boiling fire raging within him. That was the source of his power!

"I know I can no longer keep running away. No matter how great the price, I must trap you here." The purple-eyed youth stared fixedly at Lu Xun, as if there was an irreconcilable grudge between them.
