Chapter 109 | Please Stop Possessing Me, Lord Evil God!

"You want to change the past? Then I will change the future!"

In the dark, sealed chaotic space, the cold and calm words of the purple-eyed youth flowed clearly into Lu Xun's ears, leaving him stunned and speechless for a moment.

"What on earth are you talking about?" he asked with a strange expression.

He truly couldn't grasp what the other was thinking. In fact, ever since the youth had descended from the game world into reality, Lu Xun hadn't been able to make sense of the situation at all.

The only thing he understood was that the purple-eyed youth before him was likely not an ordinary human.

And he himself seemed to have undergone a peculiar transformation.

"Perhaps it is too early to speak of this to you. After all, the current you has not yet grown to the point where you possess the ability to exile all gods from the world." The purple-eyed youth nodded, looking thoughtful.

"I must change my previously ridiculous thoughts. What you said back then... you must have been serious."

"What did I say?" Lu Xun was confused.

"Uproot all the gods, one by one," the purple-eyed youth replied.

Lu Xun fell silent.

In truth, he had really just been joking back then. To him, it was just a game, and talking big in a game wasn't a crime. Was he not even allowed to boast a little?

He didn't understand why the other party's reaction was so extreme.

As he frowned in thought, the second wave of the other's probing attacks arrived.

With a slight movement of his will, Lu Xun naturally learned to control the power of the fire of faith in his chest. The two forces neutralized each other, failing to cause even a ripple.

"What exactly do you want to do?" Lu Xun asked impatiently.

"It is simple. I will trap you here and wait for my own full recovery. Then, I will plunge both the past and this future—both worlds—into disordered chaos," the purple-eyed youth said coldly.

Lu Xun's teeth clenched. He felt an unprovoked surge of rage, wanting to unleash all of this towering fury upon the other party.

"Was destroying your own world not enough? You're trying to destroy my world too?" he shouted.

The divine pressure of the two crackled within the chaotic space. Although they had done nothing yet, the space here was already at the limit of what it could endure.

A flicker of doubt crossed the purple-eyed youth's face, which then turned into realization.

"That is right. At this point in time, you are only just starting. You still know nothing."

"This future world and the world belonging to the past where I reside are one and the same. The only difference is that in this world, you have already completed your mission to exile all gods."

"That bright moon and those countless lonely stars are all the gods you personally exiled."

"When I looked up at the night sky, the first shadow I saw was myself, hanging upon the moon like a shackled prisoner!"

As the purple-eyed youth spat out the last word, Lu Xun froze in place.

At that moment, he seemed to understand something.

The future him had returned to the past, personally exiled all the gods, and then created this godless world in the New Era?

This sounded... a bit too...

Cool!

"Gods are the source of corruption."

"Exile the gods, isolate all corruption from the world!"

Two pieces of information were suddenly and inexplicably poured into his mind. The voice was hazy and genderless, distant and profound.

Yet, he found the voice strangely familiar.

It was as if he were speaking to himself in a mirror.

"Fine. From beginning to end, there was no game. Everything was just my own one-man show."

Lu Xun silently exhaled a breath of turbid air, as if accepting this reality.

"My head is still a mess, but I'll take your word for it for now. If there is someone in your future who will exile you from the world, then that person will definitely be me."

"There is no reason, and I don't need any basis for judgment. I only know that I should wipe out all of you viruses that corrupt the world!"

The moment those words fell, Lu Xun's body underwent a massive change.

The fire of faith in his chest suddenly expanded, enveloping his entire body.

But he no longer felt pain. His pupils turned white, radiating a divine glow.

In this void of chaotic space, one purple and one golden figure confronted each other, the atmosphere becoming exceptionally tense.

The two continuously released their divine power, clashing in the space like two surging ocean waves crashing together—massive in scale, yet unable to determine a victor.

They were both supreme gods; it was difficult to decide a winner based on the gap in divine power alone.

Realizing this, Lu Xun abandoned the idea of crushing the purple-eyed youth with divine power. He suddenly transformed into a racing stream of light, diving toward the youth.

He was going to engage this guy in a physical brawl!

The purple-eyed youth happened to have the same idea. He also gave up the confrontation of divine power and lunged forward with his physical body.

There was no vast and majestic clash of divine power, nor any magnificent and brilliant light effects. The two were like thugs found on any street corner, entangled in the most primitive form of combat.

...

"Grinya, are you alright?" Gexi helped the pale Grinya up, her face full of worry and urgency.

"I'm fine." Grinya rubbed her temples, feeling a headache.

In her eyes, that indescribable existence had completely disappeared, but correspondingly, she had lost all connection with Lord Xun Shen.

Her heart sank, and an extremely ominous feeling arose.

"No, we can't waste time here. We have to get out quickly. I have a premonition that the world outside might..."

She suddenly became urgent, her words rapid, but before she could finish, she saw a scene she would never forget for the rest of her life.

The abyss suddenly fell into violent upheaval. Gexi, beside her, lost her footing and fell to the ground. Grinya stood firm, but her eyes were wide enough to practically pop out of her head.

Under the interference of Lord Xun Shen, her eyes could see through all the darkness in the abyss. Because of this, she saw a strange and distorted gateway slowly unfolding at the end of the space!
