Chapter 190 | Reincarnated as a Heretical Nun

Previously in the hall of the Morning Light Cathedral, after Olivia defeated Robert in such an effortless manner, no one dared to challenge her again.

Bored at the time, she engaged in all sorts of exchanges with the magic mirror in her mind to learn about various matters, only to accidentally ask about something she could not help but care about.

It concerned the Rose Legion; someone was looking for her.

Not the version of her disguised as Stella, but the version of her working as an undercover agent named Olivia.

The person looking for her was naturally that Skywalker of the Rose Legion, Thales Walker.

At this very moment, the other party was waiting for her at her home, which was the reason she chose not to teleport directly home but to the street outside to walk back slowly.

As for why Thales came looking for her, she had already learned the gist of it through the magic mirror, to the point that her expression kept shifting.

Before long, Olivia stopped in her tracks and looked up at the house before her—her home on Annus Street.

The lights in the house were off, and in the night, it seemed shrouded in a gloomy darkness, appearing exceptionally quiet.

Olivia pondered for a moment before heading inside.

The crimson moonlight spilled through the windows, casting an eerie hue across the hall.

Thales was sitting on the sofa, and his voice drifted over in an unhurried manner: "Olivia, you have finally returned. Where on earth did you go at such a late hour?"

Olivia's mouth twitched.

If she hadn't known in advance that Thales was in her home, would she not have been scared to death by someone suddenly popping up and speaking in such an environment?

She remained silent for a moment before saying: "So it is Mr. Thales. I did not expect you to arrive so suddenly."

"The church had matters to attend to earlier, and I was kept there until now."

"Of course, that is not important."

"What is important, Mr. Thales, is whether you have any instructions for me?"

Olivia still feigned being startled before responding to Thales's words.

Thales turned his head to look at the returning Olivia and smiled faintly: "It is evident that your status within the Radiant Light Church is rising, which is a good thing; it means there is much you can accomplish. This time, I have officially brought orders from the top. There is something you need to do."

"The top?"

"Yes, the top—my superiors."

When mentioning the top, even a Skywalker like Thales could not help but turn serious.

He was already a powerhouse one step away from becoming an Evolver, yet even so, he could not help but feel some awe toward the higher-ups.

While sighing inwardly, Thales continued: "You should be very clear about what lies behind our Rose Legion, Olivia."

Olivia did not answer.

Thales did not necessarily need Olivia to answer and continued directly: "Undoubtedly, behind the Rose Legion is the Friedrich family, and the Friedrich family is the royal family of the Holy Kelidos Empire!"

"It is truly laughable. Although they are the royal family, they hold little real power."

"The royal family can only arrange affairs between ordinary people."

"As for matters related to transcendents, the royal family cannot intervene at all; those are managed directly by the church."

"What kind of royal family is that?"

"How could the royal family possibly be content with this?"

"And so, the Rose Legion was established."

Thales was telling Olivia the foundation of the Rose Legion.

Of course, this foundation was no longer a secret recently. Thales believed that Olivia, as a member of the church, surely understood this.

After finishing that point, Thales continued: "The conflict between the church and the Friedrich family is irreconcilable; the power of the church and the power of the throne cannot coexist."

"Now, the church has even captured the Third Prince and is holding him in prison for interrogation."

"Although the Third Prince has remained tight-lipped and has not revealed any useful information to this day."

"No one knows what methods the church possesses or if they have special means to forcibly extract more secrets about the Friedrich family from the Third Prince."

"This is an unstable, dangerous factor for the Friedrich family. One misstep could lead to the complete collapse of the family."

"Therefore, the Friedrich family must do something. Upon investigating internal files, they discovered your existence and had me find you."

"So, do you know what you must do now? Olivia."

Her undercover file had been discovered by the upper echelons of the Friedrich family?

This news was certainly not good for Olivia, and it immediately gave her a headache.

She rubbed her temples and said to Thales: "So what do I need to do? I ask that you please state it directly, Lord Thales."

Thales looked serious and said: "The superiors need you to find an opportunity to infiltrate the church and kill the Third Prince, Leopold Friedrich."

Yes, the requirement from the top was to kill Leopold, not to rescue him.

Because compared to the latter, the former was easier to accomplish.

To ensure their own safety, the Friedrich family chose the easier path. Although this would sacrifice a Third Prince, in their view, such a sacrifice was worth it.

More accurately, if this were to be done, it would sacrifice not only a Third Prince but also an undercover agent.

Olivia looked deeply at Thales: "This is too difficult, Mr. Thales. The place where the Third Prince Leopold is held is not somewhere I can just enter at will."

"I know this is not an easy matter, but no matter how difficult it is, only you can do it. Difficulties are meant to be overcome, and I believe you can solve this problem," Thales said earnestly.

"I do not even believe it myself, Mr. Thales, so why must you believe in me?"

"Olivia, are you unwilling to complete this mission?"

Thales's gaze became deeper as he stared directly at Olivia.

Olivia took a deep breath and had to say: "Mr. Thales, this matter is not only difficult to achieve but also extremely dangerous. If I really go through with this, whether I can kill the Third Prince is one thing, but at the very least, I will certainly be finished."

"I know," Thales said expressionlessly. "I know you will be finished, and I know there is a high probability you will die. The superiors are naturally aware of this."
