With even a Cardinal mobilized, the Church's intent was clear: the complete annihilation of the Frederick family.
Cassius knew this all too well.
He was extremely displeased and shouted, "Charles, what evidence do you have to prove our Frederick family did something we shouldn't have? Without sufficient evidence, you shouldn't be making a move against us."
"The evidence is sufficient, but there is no need to show it to you. Evidence is for the world to see. As for you, you can just go to hell."
Charles's expression remained devoid of joy or sorrow as he slowly walked through the air.
His white robes billowed without any wind, and a terrifying aura radiated from him. Anyone who sensed his presence felt a surge of impending doom in their hearts and could not stop themselves from trembling.
No matter what Cassius said next, Charles ignored him. He chose to strike directly, calling down a sacred light from the heavens that enveloped everyone.
When the clergymen of the Church were bathed in this light, they felt the magic power within them accelerate, and their overall strength received a massive boost.
However, on the Frederick family's side, those shrouded in the light let out agonizing screams.
This light produced different effects depending on the person; allies were buffed, while enemies felt only pain.
Even an Evolver like Cassius had a look of distress on his face.
The former Emperor then suddenly drew his sword, gripped the hilt with both hands, and swung it down heavily from above.
In an instant, it was as if a crescent moon hung across the sky.
The silver-white crescent moon plummeted abruptly. Its endless sharpness gave everyone the illusion that their bodies were being sliced into pieces.
It was a terrifying attack that ordinary people could never hope to resist—the full-force strike of an Evolver Swordsman!
Yet, watching such an attack, Charles's expression did not change. A hint of mockery even appeared deep in his eyes, as if he were watching a ridiculous play.
He raised his hand, clenched it into a fist, and unhurriedly punched forward into the air.
Immediately, an enormous fist composed entirely of light and shadow manifested in the sky. With an unstoppable momentum, it smashed directly into the falling crescent moon.
Boom!
In that moment, everyone heard a shattering sound that nearly pierced their eardrums. The terrifying crescent moon was smashed into fragments on the spot by that single punch.
After crushing the crescent moon, the massive fist did not lose its momentum. It continued toward Cassius, arriving before him in the blink of an eye.
Cassius had nowhere to hide.
The next moment, the fist slammed into Cassius, sending him flying like a cannonball.
With a thunderous crash, he crashed into the city below, causing an entire building to collapse. Countless pieces of rubble flew out from the impact, and rolling clouds of dust filled the air.
Within the Frederick family, Cassius was undoubtedly the strongest, but even so, he appeared pale and powerless before Charles.
The others were even worse off, possessing no qualifications to resist at all.
"Everything should settle now."
Charles walked unhurriedly toward the center of the city.
On the ground below, many clergymen followed suit.
What followed was a one-sided battle with no suspense.
Olivia was also among the crowd, capturing members of the Frederick family everywhere.
Under the guidance of the magic mirror, she arrived at the archive room of this city. After dealing with the guards, her gaze swept across the archives.
Her own file was here.
It was the last trace of her past. As long as she destroyed this file, no one would ever know she had been a mole sent by the Rose Legion to the Radiant Light Church.
There were many files in the archive room. Hers was buried deep within and was usually ignored by everyone.
At this moment, after entering the archive room alone, she easily found her file from the depths of the collection. She then ignited it with Spark of Fire, destroying it on the spot.
From now on, I am a nun of the Radiant Light Church through and through.
Olivia thought to herself, finally breathing a sigh of relief.
Although she felt that given her performance and contributions to the Church, it might not matter even if they knew, avoiding the need for explanations was never a bad thing.
Besides, as a transmigrator, she had been a person of the Church from the very beginning and never truly belonged to the Rose Legion.
After walking out of the archive room, Olivia continued to join the others in capturing the Frederick family members.
The final result was never in doubt.
The Frederick family was eventually rounded up to await judgment; those who weren't captured had died on the spot.
Once everyone who needed to be arrested was taken into custody, the members of the Radiant Light Church withdrew from the Royal Space and returned to the Church headquarters.
As for the Royal Space, it was assigned to the Aisrether family by the Church that very day.
Also before nightfall that same day, the Church published a detailed list of the Frederick family's various crimes, sparking heated discussions among the residents of Kaliron.
The members of the royal family and many nobles had fallen. The political leadership of the entire Holy Kelidos Empire had undergone a massive reshuffle.
The Aisrether family then took the stage.
This previously inconspicuous family was pushed forward by the Church in a short period of time to become the new royalty of the Holy Kelidos Empire.
Their head, Axel Aisrether, became the new Emperor of the Holy Kelidos Empire.
The residents of Kaliron quickly accepted the new reality.
After all, everyone living in the Holy Kelidos Empire knew that the Church was the one in charge.
As for who the royal family was, the Church had the final say, so it didn't really matter who it was.
Daily operations in Kaliron soon returned to normal.
As for the other cities within the Holy Kelidos Empire, it was believed that no significant waves would occur.
After the Aisrether family took power, the first thing they did was rename the Royal Space to Aisrether City and open it fully to the public, forming a floating city hovering high above Kaliron.
This city would not restrict entry to residents, travelers, or anyone else. The land within would also be put up for sale, earning the Aisrether family their first pot of gold.
The Church naturally gave its tacit approval to this behavior.
In short, the heavens of the Holy Kelidos Empire had changed.
