Chapter 208 | Survival for All: The Tower Witch with E-Rank Talent

【Ding! Congratulations to individual 'Li Huai' for becoming the first existence on the Kalim continent to reach Level 10 through unremitting efforts. Rewarding world item: 'Mist Blade'.】

【Ding! Because someone has reached Level 10, the barriers between regions are now closed, and everyone may travel freely.】

【Ding! Because someone has reached Level 10, the level leaderboard is now open. Henceforth, the top ten on the monthly level rankings will receive random rewards from the world consciousness.】

【Ding! Because someone has reached Level 10, dungeon portals have been opened. You may find dungeon portals on your own to enter and increase your level. (Note: It is recommended to enter dungeons at Level 10 or higher. The darker the color of the dungeon portal, the more dangerous it is. Please act within your capabilities.)】

The world consciousness interrupted Lan Qingyou before she could even process her thoughts.

Li Huai reaching Level 10 wasn't the important part.

What mattered was the content that followed.

The removal of regional barriers allowing free travel and the level leaderboard—these were the real major events.

Previously, everyone had been confined to their own regions, keeping to themselves. At most, they would trade insults on the world channel to vent.

But now that they could move freely, anyone with a brain could guess what would happen next.

The magic tents and cards from Ruan Qingyi and David Angel's side were already in the mass-production stage.

Once these items were sold in large quantities, the activity radius that had been limited by time constraints would be completely shattered.

Especially for a place like the Abandoned Land, which was 'teeming with talent.'

With the barriers gone, wasn't it the same as opening the cage of a fierce tiger?

It didn't take much thought to realize what the beasts who couldn't cut it or were doing poorly in that place would do once they got out.

Moreover, these were only the magic tools Lan Qingyou knew about.

No one knew how many other magic tools for travel existed that she wasn't aware of.

However, Lan Qingyou was very clear on one point: there were certainly many other 'extraordinary places' like District 666.

Now that everyone was being released at once, they might even end up 'joining in a grand event' together.

After all, these people were a bunch of untamable, deviant types.

Organizing some kind of connection would be all too simple for them.

As for the leaderboard... well.

Lan Qingyou took a look. Aside from Li Huai, the rest were all Level 9s, and there were quite a lot of them.

Scanning down the list, she found her own name ranked somewhere past six hundred.

Clearly, their progress beyond the decimal point was greater than hers.

But what Lan Qingyou cared about most were the 'dungeons' mentioned by the world consciousness.

Since the appearance of D-grade monsters until now, she hadn't seen a single C-grade monster, except for those over-the-top creatures she'd encountered in the cave.

If nothing unexpected had happened, those C-grade and higher monsters should be inside the dungeons.

The best way to take the path of leveling up through monster hunting was to go to a dungeon.

Although Lan Qingyou didn't have a massive need for levels, she still wanted those monthly top-ten rewards.

Are you kidding? Why wouldn't she take something for free?

As the saying goes, 'When Heaven offers and you do not take, you will suffer the consequences.'

And so, Lan Qingyou began to plot how to level up.

It had taken Li Huai over a month to go from Level 9 to Level 10 after the cap was raised; one could only imagine how difficult it was to level up by grinding D-grade monsters.

After thinking it over, Lan Qingyou felt that entering a dungeon directly would yield the greatest returns and save the most time.

She just needed to find a dungeon portal, which wasn't a big deal.

Even though she was only Level 9, the announcement said 'recommended Level 10 or higher,' which meant a Level 9 could still go.

With her current attributes, which far exceeded those of other people from Blue Star, it would be no problem at all.

What Lan Qingyou needed to consider now was how to fight once she was inside.

Golems and potions were a must. Combined with her skills, she figured she could probably handle the lowest-level dungeons.

Besides, what were dungeons for? Weren't they places where equipment dropped?

Even if there was no equipment, she still needed the materials and experience.

Having made up her mind, Lan Qingyou immediately set to work brewing medicine.

The potions she had stored previously were too low-grade. She was heading into dungeons now—the high-end game—so she needed to replace them all.

Conveniently, now that she had the idea of using alcohol as base water, she could remake them at a higher grade, specifically tailored for Spoon's current constitution.

Lan Qingyou spent a day modifying the action commands for her humanoid golems, setting them to produce intermediate potions and magic potions. After that, she began crafting new golems.

After her alchemy level had increased, Lan Qingyou had basically figured out the pattern for humanoid golems.

Though they were still slightly inferior to the twenty or so units she had obtained from the Abandoned City.

The main difficulties were concentrated in the materials and the drawing techniques.

In the Large Alchemy Workshop, Lan Qingyou took out several ingots and began preparing the materials according to the humanoid golem design she had finished the night before.

Compared to Chariot's side, which used machines for mass production, Lan Qingyou's speed was significantly slower.

However, because she used alchemy circles, she could directly synthesize the incredibly hard alloys she wanted.

Furthermore, because she had studied magic circle principles, she could now even soften Thorium ore and mold it at will.

This was perfect for Lan Qingyou, who wanted her golems to be exceptionally sturdy.

This time, Lan Qingyou had only two requirements for her golem design: sturdiness and flexibility.

Of course, she also knew that 'sturdiness' was not absolute.

So, what she hoped for was a golem that wouldn't have its structure destroyed even if it took a massive hit.

To put it simply, if a golem was punched by an enemy of the same level and size as an Ancient Tree, she wanted it to disassemble upon impact, but for every single component to remain undeformed and undamaged.

That way, she could retrieve the parts and reassemble them later.

She had even designed a weight-bearing system using magic circles for this 'wish.'

In short, if the impact or shock exceeded a certain threshold, the golem would automatically disassemble into a pile of parts.

In addition to that, Lan Qingyou conducted a small experiment.

Working at her normal pace for a day—from 'preparing materials' to 'carving internal mana circuits' and then 'carving external energy-absorbing magic patterns'—she could produce the parts for about six golems.
