The three of them arrived in front of Greg's dormitory door.
Greg pulled out his key, unlocked the door, and stepped aside to let them in.
The three-person dormitory was currently empty because Greg had cleared out his two roommates in advance.
The excuse he used had been incredibly simple and direct. Walking up to Rom and Corwin, he had said in an earnest and slightly bashful tone:
“I want to study alone with the person I like. Could you please give us some private time?”
Hearing this, his two roommates stared blankly for a moment, exchanged a glance, and then simultaneously gave him a thumbs-up. “We get it!”
Without another word, they grabbed their notebooks and textbooks, vanishing in the blink of an eye and leaving the entire room to him.
Greg couldn't help but sigh with emotion. Though these two love gossiping about romance, romantic topics really do work like a charm on them. They cooperated instantly without needing any explanation.
He felt like he had finally found the correct instruction manual for his roommates.
“Wow, I didn't expect the boys' dorms to be different from the girls'. Your beds are so huge!”
As soon as they entered, Victoria began looking around with curiosity.
Her gaze swept across the room, finally landing on the large bed by the window that had Greg's name on it. Her eyes lit up.
Greg replied offhandedly, “Of course. Since guys are generally larger than—”
He cut himself off mid-sentence.
“Hey, didn't we agree to study? Why are you lying on my bed? And don't roll around on it! I just made the bed this morning, and you're messing it up!”
Victoria had already thrown herself onto his bed.
She sprawled out in a starburst shape, her long gray hair fanning across the pillow, making her delicate face look even fairer in contrast.
Her uniform skirt had ridden up slightly from her movements, revealing her slender legs encased in black pantyhose.
Under the light, the thin black fabric cast a subtle sheen, clinging tightly to the contours of her legs. It traced a smooth, elegant curve all the way from her slender ankles to where it disappeared beneath the hem of her skirt.
Victoria narrowed her eyes, let out a satisfied sigh, and waved her hand dismissively.
“Don't be so stingy! I just wanted to see what it feels like to lie on a big bed!”
Greg's temples throbbed. Just as he was about to step forward and drag her off, Victoria patted the empty space beside her and turned to look at Silvia, who was still standing by the door, completely lost.
“Silvia, come try it too! This bed is so big, it's incredibly comfortable to lie on.”
“Huh?! T-That...”
Silvia's cheeks instantly flushed. Her gaze darted back and forth between Victoria and the bed. After hesitating for a moment, she ultimately failed to resist the temptation.
“Okay...”
She tiptoed over to the bedside and carefully lay down.
Unlike Victoria's carefree sprawl, Silvia's movements carried a reserved, demure grace.
She sat on the edge of the bed first, then slowly leaned back before finally lying down completely.
Her pink hair fanned out across the white pillow like a blooming flower.
Her hands were folded neatly over her stomach, her posture so elegant she looked like a painting.
But what truly caught the eye were her legs. White thigh-high socks wrapped her slender, shapely calves, the lace trim at the cuffs resting just below her knees. As she slightly bent her legs, a sliver of fair thigh skin was revealed.
The white and pink of her school uniform skirt formed a soft, pure color palette, standing in sharp contrast to Victoria's sharp black aesthetic.
“Mmm...”
Silvia felt the embrace of the soft, large bed. Knowing Greg had slept on this very bed just last night made her heart beat a little faster.
She unconsciously closed her eyes, buried her head in the blanket, and took a deep breath.
Mmm, it's Senior Greg's scent—
Just as a wave of satisfaction washed over her, she suddenly snapped out of it, remembering she wasn't alone in the room!
But it was already too late.
...
The room suddenly fell dead silent.
Silvia looked up, only to find both Greg and Victoria staring at her with looks of utter shock.
Silvia's face instantly flushed all the way to her ears, and she froze in place like a startled fawn.
Nightmare was about to speak up in Greg's mind: “What a green—”
“Shut up!”
Greg sharply cut her off in his mind, then silently added:
“I know what you want to say. The current Silvia is indeed... acting like a total green tea.”
Nightmare nodded in satisfaction from within his shadow.
“N-No, that's not it...!”
Silvia hurriedly scrambled up from the bed, her hands waving frantically in front of her as she explained incoherently:
“I-I was just... I just suddenly caught a whiff of a strange smell, so I leaned in to check out of curiosity! It's really not what you think!”
Hearing this, Victoria also immediately sprang up from the bed, turning her gaze toward Greg with an accusatory tone:
“Greg, how can you be so unhygienic?!”
“I—”
Greg opened his mouth, wanting to cry but having no tears.
As a transmigrator, he maintained basic hygiene even in the harsh environment of the dungeon. How could he possibly have a body odor?
But he couldn't just outright say that Silvia was simply being a pervert. That would only add fuel to the fire.
It felt like no matter what he said, one of them was bound to explode.
Fortunately, Silvia quickly realized her mistake and scrambled to defend him:
“N-No! I smelled it wrong! The odor wasn't coming from Senior Greg's bed. It must be because the room hasn't been ventilated in a while. We just need to open the window to let some fresh air in.”
Victoria skeptically leaned in to sniff the blanket, then sniffed her own sleeve. After confirming there indeed wasn't any strange smell, she reluctantly believed Silvia's words and walked over to push open the window.
A cool breeze rushed into the room, fluttering the curtains and dispersing the subtle, awkward atmosphere.
Greg let out a long sigh of relief in his heart, casting a grateful glance at Silvia.
Noticing his gaze, Silvia's cheeks grew even redder, and she lowered her head, not daring to look back.
Victoria turned around, resting her hands on her hips as she looked at Greg.
“Alright, can we start now? Didn't you call us here to guide us through the secondary defense?”
“You're the one who started messing around,” Greg grumbled.
Clearing his throat, he immediately assumed the posture of a professor.
“Let's begin, then. First, tell me your understanding of the theme for this secondary defense. Let's see if there are any issues with your line of thinking.”
Then, he added:
“I'm a very strict professor, so you'd better prepare yourselves mentally!”
