Whoosh!
With a powerful flap of his broad black dragon wings, Gris surged above Jonavili.
Thud! Boom—
Gris slammed down in front of Jonavili, letting out a roar directly at her.
"Roar!!"
After getting a clear look at Jonavili, Gris froze, not yet processing why a human was standing here.
"A tiny human insect?"
Jonavili looked up slightly, meeting those pitch-black draconic eyes.
The next second.
Wham—
Jonavili leaped above Gris and slammed her small pink fist onto his head, which was covered in black scales.
Instantly, Gris's dragon head was driven into the ground.
"Are you blind? Take a good look at who I am."
With that, Jonavili released her aura. Sensing the familiar presence and that unmistakable strength, Gris hurriedly pulled his head out of the dirt, his eyes clearing significantly.
"Big Sis? Why did you turn into this ridiculous form?"
Jonavili didn't answer. Instead, she turned her head to look behind and above her, where a robustly built red dragon lay perched on the mountainside, staring at her.
"It's been a long time, Furiel."
Hearing Jonavili speak, the crimson draconic eyes narrowed. However, there wasn't much surprise; after all, the metallic luster of the other's scales proved she was a hybrid dragon, and her intelligence certainly couldn't be measured by the standards of an ordinary white dragon.
"It has indeed been a while, you stupid white dragon."
Hearing this, Jonavili's lips curled into a slight smirk.
"Heh heh~ Although I'm very hungry right now, I have one thing to do before I fill my stomach."
As she spoke, Jonavili revealed her true form. A massive white dragon sixteen meters in length appeared, her maw slightly upturned as she locked eyes with the red dragon, who was roughly the same size.
However, compared to Jonavili's nearly perfect streamlined physique and aesthetic muscle lines that looked like carved art, Furiel's build was much more massive. Her muscles bulged as if they were about to burst through the constraints of her skin and scales at any moment.
"Return all my treasures! Now!!"
The red dragon's maw pulled back into a cruel grin, making her look like a truly ferocious beast.
"I don't know what talent you've awakened to give you the courage to challenge me, but it's time you paid the price for deceiving me! Hehe hehe hehe~"
"Roar!" x2
The two giant beasts let out simultaneous roars and their powerful bodies collided. The entire Dragon Roar Mountains seemed to tremble several times from the impact.
Terrifying draconic majesty diffused simultaneously, such that even the monsters in the city-state by the Sam River could feel the overwhelming pressure.
The shockwave from the collision kicked up surrounding dust and gravel, and the scene instantly spiraled out of control.
In this battle, the smaller Gris felt like a fragile little boy hiding beneath two muscular lolis who were brawling.
Furiel's massive dark red claws lashed out at Jonavili, her sharp talons slicing through the air like blades. Jonavili nimbly tilted her body, evading the terrifying strike before opening her mouth to unleash a blast of frigid dragon breath. Instantly, the cone of frost breath, packed with immense power, struck the plate-like scales on Furiel's chest, and ice began to spread across her body.
Furiel, however, was not completely suppressed by the breath. She shook her body, causing the surrounding temperature to skyrocket. The scent of sulfur filled the mountain air as the ice on her body shattered.
Immediately after, she unleashed a blast of scorching fire breath from her maw, the flames rushing toward Jonavili like surging lava. Jonavili beat her wings and ascended rapidly, dodging the attack.
Then, using the momentum of her ascent, she dove down from the sky toward Furiel, swinging her powerful dragon tail violently at Furiel's body.
Furiel was shaken by the blow but quickly steadied herself. She and Jonavili grappled together once more, locked in a stalemate. The sky above the Dragon Roar Mountains was thick with the heavy atmosphere of battle.
Seeing that they were playing for keeps, Gris hurriedly flew away to avoid being caught in the aftershocks.
"Holy crap! Motherfucker, Big Sis and that tyrant dragon have gone crazy. Run, run!"
Gris didn't think for a second that he could beat either of those two.
No joke, he had grown to seven meters during his juvenile stage, which was already among the best for the black dragon race.
Looking at the entire chromatic dragon race, most juveniles reached between five and ten meters after their slumber. Red dragons, known as the strongest of the evil dragons in terms of physical power, usually only reached nine to twelve meters during this stage.
Looking at that tyrant dragon's frame and those massive muscles, she was a pure stat monster.
But the one who was truly broken was Jonavili; she wasn't even pretending anymore, her size was already rivaling a red dragon's.
Meanwhile, the subordinates and commoners of the City of Monsters were stunned into silence by this world-shaking sight.
Two small mountains, each over ten meters long, crashing from the sky to the ground and then fighting from the ground back up to the mountainside—they were finally experiencing what that kind of visual looked like.
What are they doing? Aren't they all friends? Why did they suddenly start fighting? Should we run?
In contrast to the confusion of the monsters, the subordinates of Jonavili and Furiel were even more bewildered.
Once they snapped out of it, the two factions faced each other across the Sam River, daggers drawn. Although the red dragon gnolls were far fewer in number, their momentum didn't falter in the slightest.
After another exchange, both sides felt an immense sense of shock and gravity.
What shocked Jonavili was that Furiel's physique was far too strong, completely exceeding that of an ordinary red dragon. She had definitely awakened some sort of physical talent.
Furiel, on the other hand, was completely stunned. Even though her opponent was a silver-white hybrid who had inherited the best traits of her parents, being strong was one thing, but this was ridiculous.
As the second most powerful of the metallic dragons, silver dragons were known for their magical prowess rather than their physical strength.
And white dragons were at the bottom of the chromatic dragon barrel. While they were physically strong, how could one be stronger than a blue dragon and stand toe-to-toe with her, a red dragon who had awakened physical reinforcement? This was a total cheat!
This wasn't just a mix of genes; it was a total genetic mutation!
However, in terms of raw physical strength alone, Jonavili was still slightly inferior.
Seeing Jonavili being pushed back a distance once again, Furiel raised her dragon head high and laughed wildly.
"What? Is that all? Is this measly power the source of your arrogance? Then you truly are a fool!"
Having steadied herself, Jonavili simply cracked her neck calmly in the face of the mockery.
"I'm really going to start talking trash, and you won't be laughing then."
Neither dragon was willing to back down. According to tradition, after the physical warm-up came the clash of skills.
The two dragons opened their maws simultaneously, and their most powerful columnar dragon breaths erupted at once.
A terrifying shockwave spread through the air as fire and ice collided, and a massive amount of white steam billowed into the sky from the point of impact.
