Chapter 78 | They Called Me the Dumbest Dragon, So I Paused Time and Built an Empire

Gris raised an eyebrow and spoke half-jokingly.

"What? You aren't going to punish the evil forces of our White Crystal City anymore?"

Saisa's gaze darkened, and she spoke truthfully.

"I can't win, so I plan to report this to Dragon Island. However... you all don't seem to be truly evil. The seniors on Dragon Island probably won't take action against you."

"Haha~ You really are stubborn."

Gris was about to say something else, but in the next second, a terrifying aura drifted over. Both dragons were startled and suddenly stood up.

"This is..."

Saisa was stunned. These two auras were extremely powerful; one was quite familiar, but the other was completely strange.

Gris, on the other hand, cried out in surprise.

"My big sister is awake!"

Saisa looked at Gris in confusion, her tone puzzled.

"Big sister? Your sister?"

Gris thought for a moment and nodded.

"Emmm, she's basically my sister, but don't mind her. There's something a bit wrong with her head, you know?"

As he spoke, Gris pointed a finger at his own forehead.

Saisa was amused.

"Pfft—who talks about their own sister like that?"

'Though you're pretty much the same yourself.'

"Seriously, would I lie to you? She's just an idiot..."

The two dragons began to chat idly, the atmosphere harmonious.

Back in the palace hall, all the weight-bearing pillars, walls, and the floor were cracking, as if they would collapse at any moment.

Nearby, Fanni was pacing anxiously, looking left and right.

"Stop... stop! Please stop fighting!"

"Don't be like thiiis!"

The two dragons were in the heat of their contest, neither willing to yield, both looking at each other with excitement.

'As expected, Jonavili is holding on so tight. She definitely cares about me!'

Furiel's expression was excited as she increased her strength.

'Heh, adding more power again? You've certainly got spirit. But that's fine, today I'll show you who's boss, you egomaniac!'

Jonavili refused to lose either. This continued for over an hour until the entire palace was in a precarious state, feeling as though it might topple over.

"Still won't give up, Jonavili?"

"Who are you looking down on? Don't be so damn arrogant!"

"Roar!"

Jonavili let out a roar. A pair of thick, winding silver-white dragon horns grew from the sides of her head, with the back of the horns forming a crown-like shape resembling a solar corona.

A thick, whip-like dragon tail emerged from behind her, and her crystal-blue pupils transformed into terrifying draconic eyes. Keratinous scales appeared on her cheeks as well.

More importantly, Jonavili's height suddenly shot up by one centimeter.

The dragonkin form could greatly release the power of the true body, allowing the use of nearly 50% of one's strength.

Seeing this, Furiel's face was filled with excitement.

"In that case, I'll play along to the end!"

"Roar!"

As she finished speaking, thick, winding, and slightly rough red dragon horns grew from the sides of Furiel's head, and a thick, short red dragon tail grew from her back.

Red keratin grew on her cheeks, and her fiery red vertical pupils looked incredibly malevolent.

The two of them exerted their strength simultaneously, and a terrifying shockwave blew Fanni away as she flew in mid-air.

Rumble—

"What happened?"

A massive sound of collapsing echoed. Saisa looked nervously toward the source of the noise.

The giant palace built on the Dragon Roar Mountains had collapsed.

Gris stood up abruptly, his mouth wide open.

"WTF~ My home is gone?!"

In the next second, an even more terrifying scene appeared. A crimson beast about a hundred meters long rose from the ground, roaring at the sky.

An even larger white beast appeared as well, pushing the red dragon away with one claw.

This scene was visually stunning, especially for Saisa. After all, this size was already within the range of an adult dragon.

At that moment, Gris's words reached her ears.

"It's fine, it's fine. Ignore them. They've got nothing better to do all day, they're just messing around."

Saisa looked at Gris and found that he seemed completely unfazed, as if he were used to it.

"Quick, keep telling me about your big brother."

Seeing Gris's curious look, Saisa slowly sat back down and continued speaking.

...

Above the palace ruins, Jonavili looked at Furiel with a look of reproach.

"Hmph. See? Look at what your playing did. The home is gone."

Furiel scratched her fiery red dragon head, her claws clashing against the hard scales and sending sparks flying.

She felt a bit awkward; it was indeed because she had come to pick a fight that this had happened.

'But even if I'm wrong, I'm still right. You can't blame me!'

"Ahem. While that might be true, setting aside the facts for a moment, aren't you also at fault?"

Jonavili rolled her eyes at her speechlessly.

"Are you a complete idiot? If you're setting aside the facts, what the hell is there to talk about?"

"Don't be angry. You said it yourself before, getting angry often makes your scales lose their luster."

Furiel patted Jonavili's shoulder.

Jonavili's dragon tail swept out, swatting Furiel's claw away.

"I was lying to you, and you actually believed it?"

"You! ..."

Before she could finish, Furiel suddenly realized something was wrong and looked at Jonavili's wings in confusion.

"What did you eat? Why are there these strange patterns on your wing membranes?"

Jonavili was taken aback and turned her dragon head to look at her own wings. Her crystal-blue pupils couldn't help but widen.

"This is..."

Flowing across the wing membranes were rainbow-colored patterns, interlaced with star patterns, looking extremely mysterious.

Jonavili frowned slightly. She felt like she had seen this somewhere before.

"I don't know, maybe..."

Her words cut off abruptly. She suddenly remembered that the egg in her dream had the exact same patterns. Could it be...

'I am that egg?'

Jonavili was startled by her own thought, and the more she thought about it, the more likely it seemed.

Jonavili began to consider the possibility of this hypothesis, her brain heating up the more she pondered.

But then she quickly shook her head, because thinking so much made Jonavili feel like her brain was reaching its limit.

Beside her, Furiel looked at Jonavili in confusion, not understanding why she was acting so erratic.

However, she didn't interrupt. Instead, she silently closed her eyes and sank her consciousness into the draconic inheritance.

Then...

Furiel uploaded everything she had just recorded into it, adding a caption: [Cute variant white dragon, daily check-in day 13,721. The cute little thing finally woke up, what a little lazybones.]
