With the Landia Continent hanging by a thread, Ning Busan had to become the Silver-Crowned God as quickly as possible to repair the barrier.
He planned to head to Dragon Valley to absorb the Dragon Card and the Angel Card, allowing the divinity and rationality of the Silver-Crowned God to fully awaken before using the power of the Lock of Causality to suppress them.
According to Ning Busan's plan, Lucifer would remain in the Undead Realm.
If any issues arose with the Undead Clan cultivating the power of chaos, Lucifer would be there to keep them in check.
However...
Leo sneakily sought out Lucifer and said solemnly, “You can't stay in the Undead Realm. You have to go to Dragon Valley too.”
Lucifer eyed him askance. “Why should I listen to you?”
Leo said in a low, mysterious tone, “If you don't go, your little brother is going to be snatched away!”
Lucifer narrowed his eyes. “What do you mean?”
“You don't know yet, do you? The Dragon King, Demogor, is Louis's brother.” Every single word Leo uttered stabbed right at Lucifer's sore spot.
“They call each other brothers, and they are countless times closer than he is with you. Are you just going to stand by and watch your position be replaced?”
Lucifer's eyes darkened. “Do you take me for a fool? Do you really think I'd fall for such a simple provocation?”
Yes, he would!
He was absolutely going to Dragon Valley!
Ning Busan was completely baffled.
They had already agreed on the plan, but Lucifer suddenly changed his mind halfway through and insisted on going to Dragon Valley with him.
Although he didn't know what had transpired, his intuition told him that Leo was definitely behind this.
Thus, Ning Busan went to question Leo. “What did you say to Lucifer?”
Leo looked entirely innocent. “I didn't say anything!”
Ning Busan warned, “Don't go stirring up trouble!”
Leo made a solemn promise. “Don't worry, I definitely won't stir anything up!”
He didn't even need to!
The moment Lucifer and Demogor met, they would inevitably clash!
One was arrogant, the other overbearing; neither could tolerate the slightest slight, and neither was willing to back down.
There was going to be a splendid show to watch!
...
Before heading to Dragon Valley, Ning Busan absorbed the Dragon Card in advance.
At the Peak of Helios, the Dragon Clan reigned supreme, so adopting a dragon form would make things much more convenient.
With that, Noctis—the God-Defying Skeletal Remains, Pupil of the Void, End of the Scourge, Underworld Chanter—disappeared, and Augustus—the Elemental Dragon ruling over frost and gale—was officially online!
Ning Busan's dragon form stretched for over a thousand meters, winding like a mountain range and weighing dozens of tons.
He had ice-blue eyes, within which an endless blizzard seemed to swirl. His entire body was covered in overlapping scales of azure and silver, each one as translucent as a polar glacier and with edges sharp as blades.
“Utterly perfect!” Leo stared at Ning Busan's dragon form with a burning gaze, offering praise without holding back. “You look absolutely spectacular right now!”
Ning Busan glanced at him and let out a cold laugh.
Leo winked furiously at Ning Busan, almost drooling. “Don't you feel like your back is missing an accessory?”
“Of course, I'm just speaking off the cuff, nothing else! I am absolutely, positively not hinting at anything!”
Ning Busan thought to himself: You've already made it explicit!
Lucifer frowned. “Dragons are apex predators, not mounts!”
Leo looked at Ning Busan with puppy-dog eyes.
“Get on.” There was a trace of subtle amusement hidden in Ning Busan's voice.
Leo's eyes lit up, and his smile stretched from ear to ear. “You said it! Then I won't stand on ceremony!”
Once Leo was securely seated, Ning Busan said, “Hold on tight—”
Before Leo could even register the words, his world suddenly tilted.
Ning Busan's dragon wings must have swept back, because his massive body shot into the sky like an arrow released from a bow.
Leo felt his heart plummet. A scream had just rushed to his throat when it was violently stuffed back in by the oncoming gale.
“Slo... Slow down!!!”
Ning Busan chuckled. “What did you say?”
Leo's hair was completely ruined, and his teeth chattered uncontrollably. “I! SAID! SLOW! DOWN!”
“I can't hear you!” Ning Busan deliberately began showing off his aerial maneuvers.
First, he executed a three-and-a-half-turn barrel roll, then abruptly pulled up into a vertical climb, soaring nearly ninety degrees straight into the upper atmosphere. Immediately after, he folded his wings and plunged downward like a falling meteor!
Leo's world instantly spun out of control.
He felt like a spinning top tossed into a blizzard, his legs flailing wildly in the air. The only thing he could do was dig his fingers desperately into the gaps between the scales to keep from being thrown off.
“You @^#$`%&!”
Leo's curses were torn to shreds by the wind.
Beside Ning Busan, Lucifer spread his twelve wings to fly alongside him.
Dragon Valley lay at the peak of the mountain range, high above the clouds where mortals could never reach—the Peak of Helios.
A golden sea of clouds rolled beneath their feet, while a deep starry sky stretched overhead. The stars shone far brighter than they did from the ground, looking as if they were within arm's reach.
The dragons each had their own lairs, some carved into steep cliffs, others floating atop the sea of clouds.
The most powerful dragons even possessed independent floating islands.
And the place they were heading to was Demogor's Evercinder Island.
By the time Ning Busan finally landed, Leo rolled straight off the dragon's back, collapsing onto the ground. His face was a mixture of pale and blue, and his hair was frosted over with icicles.
He lay there, barely clinging to life...
Ning Busan looked down at him, his voice filled with amusement. “Are you satisfied with the experience?”
With a thread of breath, Leo said shakily, “You... you did that on purpose...”
Ning Busan flicked his tail elegantly. “On purpose with what?”
Leo sniffled, throwing out a pitiful threat. “Just you wait!”
Ning Busan suppressed a laugh.
Although there was indeed a tiny bit of intent behind it, it was mostly because Leo's fragile body was simply too weak to withstand a dragon's flight speed.
Evercinder Island was Demogor's lair. Its surface was covered in cooled volcanic rock and sharp crystal clusters, with rivers of golden-red magma flowing all around.
Despite Leo's deep resentment over Ning Busan's antics, he now wanted nothing more than to press himself against Ning Busan's scales.
The temperature on Evercinder Island could reach up to thousands of degrees Celsius, but Ning Busan was a frost dragon. As long as one stayed close to him, the heat would be neutralized.
Just like that, Ning Busan swaggered onto the Peak of Helios, making absolutely no effort to conceal his presence.
Countless dragon eyes lit up in the shadows. Emerging from cliffs, caves, and the clouds, they slowly surrounded Evercinder Island, their ferocious gazes burning with murderous intent.
Sensing the bloodlust, Lucifer instantly grew vigilant. “It seems we've been targeted.”
Ning Busan replied calmly, “It's fine. No big deal.”
Just as Lucifer began to relax, he heard Ning Busan add, “I merely destroyed the original Dragon Valley, forcing the Dragon Clan to leave their homeland and migrate to the Peak of Helios, that's all.”
“Traitor,” the leading dragon growled, its voice like low thunder rolling through the clouds. “You still dare to return?”
Ning Busan lifted his head, his azure scales reflecting the shadows of the enemies surrounding them.
Oh, he absolutely dared!
