Augustus was a traitor to the Dragon Clan.
He had destroyed the Dragon Clan's sacred relic, causing Dragon Valley to collapse and forcing them to lose their homeland.
But there was a hidden truth behind it all.
When the progenitor of the Dragon Clan fell, they sacrificed their primordial power to condense a dragon crystal, linking it to the core of the Landia Continent's ley lines.
Thus, Dragon Valley was originally located at the ley line core of the Landia Continent, where inverted cone-shaped floating rocky islands were scattered.
As a proud and powerful race, the Dragon Clan revered strength above all. The throne was not hereditary but was instead decided through bloody and glorious challenges.
Demogor challenged the Dragon King after reaching adulthood.
He emerged victorious and became the new king.
Only after becoming the Dragon King did he gradually realize that the dragon crystal had been constantly absorbing power from the ley line core, causing it to lack energy and fall into a state of dormancy.
If this continued, the entire Landia Continent would be affected.
So Demogor made the decision to destroy the dragon crystal and migrate with the entire clan.
Unfortunately, there were too many stubborn old fogeys among the dragons. They absolutely refused to leave the homeland they had lived in for tens of thousands of years to migrate to an unfamiliar place.
To ease his brother's burden, Augustus stealthily destroyed the dragon crystal himself.
That night, all the floating rocky islands near the ley line core collapsed, and the Dragon Clan completely lost their home.
By the time the dragons realized what had happened and prepared to band together to attack the traitor, Augustus had already slipped away to the human world.
Returning to the present.
Facing the surging enemies, Ning Busan asked, “Do you really think the Peak of Helios is inferior to the old Dragon Valley?”
The dragons fell silent.
One was deep underground, while the other was high above the clouds. Naturally, the sky was far more comfortable.
“Don't let him change the subject! We found the Peak of Helios and made it our new home through our own abilities!” a dragon roared. “He destroyed the dragon crystal, which makes him a traitor to the Dragon Clan!”
Ning Busan exhaled a plume of dragon breath. “I am no longer the person I used to be! Do you plan to come at me one by one, or all at once?”
Ferocious glints flashed in the dragons' eyes. “Arrogant fool!”
Ning Busan was full of confidence.
Augustus might have feared them, but he certainly did not.
Even if they all attacked together, Ning Busan could easily hold his ground.
Right at that moment...
“Presumptuous! Did I give you permission to come near this place?”
A deafening roar echoed from the sky, the soundwaves seemingly powerful enough to tear the heavens apart.
A massive dragon was perched high above the clouds, the mist churning around its claws like waves bowing in submission.
Eternal, unquenchable flames danced deep within his molten-gold eyes, and his scales displayed patterns of dark gold and deep crimson.
The Dragon King, Demogor—the Elemental Dragon ruling over fire and thunder.
The surrounding dragons grew wary, asking tentatively, “Demogor, what is the meaning of this?”
“What else could it mean? He is absolutely determined to protect his brother!” an old dragon growled in anger. “Demogor, even if you are the Dragon King, you cannot shield a traitor!”
Demogor said arrogantly, “If you want to fight, the two of us brothers will accompany you to the very end.”
The dragons fell silent.
Ten thousand years ago, before he had even fully matured, he was already able to beat the rest of the Dragon Clan into submission and ascend to the throne of the Dragon King.
And now, he had already become a Demigod.
Their Dragon King was by no means a good-tempered master.
But with the traitor right before them, they could not possibly let him go.
The dragons moved.
As for Ning Busan and Demogor, though they had not seen each other for ten thousand years and had not spoken a single word, their tacit understanding remained.
Demogor's flames could not melt Ning Busan's frost, and Ning Busan's frost could not extinguish Demogor's flames.
Yet when they stood back-to-back, the frost and flames merged in a bizarre fashion.
Frost and gale on the left; fire and thunder on the right.
Two draconic silhouettes tore through the heavens as ice crystals, lightning, and fire poured down simultaneously.
Wherever the frost swept, the clouds froze into countless ice crystals, swept up by the gale to form a devastating hurricane of ice blades.
Magma erupted from the depths of the earth, blazing pillars of fire piercing the ground like the fangs of a colossal beast, turning the area into a boiling sea of sulfur.
The dragons thought: We can't take this! We really can't take this!
Demogor coldly spat out a single word: “Scram—”
The dragons scattered in all directions.
A wise dragon knows when to back down!
Within just a few seconds, Evercinder Island returned to its usual tranquility.
Demogor spread his massive dragon wings, gently wrapping them around Ning Busan, and then lowered his head to press his forehead against Ning Busan's.
He shared a portion of his memories with Ning Busan.
Ning Busan could sense that Demogor had missed him constantly throughout these ten thousand years, so he softly called out, “Brother.”
When Lucifer looked at Demogor again, his gaze changed instantly.
Brother?
Brother!
Brother!!!
Intense jealousy welled up from the depths of his heart.
Ning Busan said to Demogor, “I brought two friends with me on my return this time.”
Demogor looked down.
Leo offered a bright smile and waved. “Hehehe, long time no see!”
Demogor's face twisted in disgust.
He knew this talkative, annoying human who practically begged for a beating but possessed a decent brain. In fact, they could even be considered well-acquainted.
As for the other one...
Demogor and Lucifer exchanged a glance and simultaneously averted their eyes.
Lucifer: “Tch—”
Demogor: “Pfft—”
This was a natural clash of temperaments.
They detested each other at first sight, wishing nothing more than to rid the world of the other immediately!
Ning Busan introduced, “This is Lucifer. You should have heard of him.”
Demogor gave a noncommittal grunt.
Of course he had heard of the illustrious reputation of Lucifer, the Lord of Hell.
Leo spoke up in a leisurely tone, “It doesn't matter if you didn't know each other before. Either way, you're both Louis's brothers, so we're all family from now on.”
Demogor's gaze sharpened.
He knew Ning Busan's true identity, and he knew Ning Busan had many personas.
But...
Family?
Demogor raised his eyelids. “Augustus has the blood of the Dragon Clan flowing through his veins. Not just any random thing is worthy of calling him brother.”
Lucifer's tone turned dangerous. “Laughable! It is not your place to dictate our relationship!”
“If it's not my place to speak, then what are you doing on my Evercinder Island?” Demogor sneered. “I heard that Hell has already been taken over by the God of Darkness. Could it be that you, the great Lord of Hell, have become a stray dog with nowhere to go?”
Lucifer shot back, “Still better than you. Your own dragon kin dare to raise their claws against you. What use is the mere title of Dragon King?”
Every word was sharp, every sentence stabbing right where it hurt. These two certainly knew how to be sarcastic.
Demogor and Lucifer glared at each other, their auras clashing. The rocky surface of Evercinder Island groaned under the immense pressure, cracking like a spiderweb.
Ning Busan: “...”
Why are they already tearing the place apart?
“Well... actually...” Leo cleared his throat, but just as he was about to speak, Ning Busan cut him off.
Ning Busan gave him a death glare. “Shut up!”
Was this not chaotic enough already?
