“Knock, knock, knock.”
While Tyr and Aetheline were chatting, a knock came from the door.
Avia went over to open it, and Sevira poked her small head inside.
“Brother Tyr, is your treatment not finished yet?”
Sevira asked, seeing Aetheline sitting across from Tyr.
“No, it's already over. I was just asking Miss Aetheline about the outside world.”
Tyr waved, gesturing for Sevira to come in.
“Young Master Tyr, your preliminary examination is complete. I will head back to carefully organize the results and formulate a treatment plan for you in the future.”
Seeing Sevira enter, Aetheline stood up to take her leave.
“Alright. Thank you for your trouble, Miss Aetheline.”
“It is my duty.”
After exchanging greetings with the newly arrived Sevira, Aetheline left Tyr's room.
“Have a seat. Avia, go get some pudding and pastries.”
Tyr first gestured for Sevira to sit, then asked Avia to fetch the desserts Sevira liked.
“How was your examination?”
Thinking of Sevira's condition last night, Tyr asked with concern.
“Miss Firula said my condition isn't a big deal. I was just overly frightened, so I just need to relax more often.”
“That's good.”
Tyr nodded. In fact, when he had used his Holy Power on Sevira last night, he already knew her condition wasn't too bad.
However, he was not a professional healing mage after all, so he hadn't been very confident in his own judgment.
While the two were chatting, Avia brought over the desserts and placed them in front of Sevira.
“Thank you, Brother Tyr.”
Sevira used a fork to pick up a pastry and put it in her mouth, her cheeks puffing up as she chewed like a little hamster.
After finishing the pastries in front of her, Sevira looked up at Tyr.
“Brother Tyr, let's play cards.”
Earlier, when Miss Firula had suggested she do something relaxing to distract herself, she had immediately thought of the poker cards Tyr had taught her to play last night.
“Avia, go fetch the poker cards.”
...
Sevira didn't bid Tyr goodbye and leave until it was time for lunch.
Tyr also got up and lay down on his bed, staring listlessly at the canopy above.
Before, when he was training to exhaustion every day, he had longed for a good rest. But now that he actually had free time, he didn't know what to do with himself.
After all, what could he even do in this Sword Prison?
Sigh, if only I had a cell phone right now.
Once again, Tyr began to miss his days on Earth with cell phones, computers, and the internet.
Just as Tyr was pondering what to do to pass the next two and a half days, his gaze suddenly caught the thick book on the table—《The Encyclopedia of Plants》.
He had been busy with his cultivation, so after bringing the book back, he hadn't flipped through it very many times.
At this thought, Tyr pushed himself up from the bed. He decided that he would spend the remaining two and a half days reading this book.
He wanted to make a list of his own to identify the spices needed for cooking.
“Young Master, lunch is ready. It's time to eat.”
Just as Tyr picked up 《The Encyclopedia of Plants》 to flip through it, Avia's voice came from behind him.
Tyr turned his head to see the dining table already filled with delicious food.
Tyr looked at the dining table, then at the thick book in his hand, before closing it and placing it back on the table.
Since things had come to this, he might as well eat first.
After lunch, Tyr had Avia bring him paper and a pen, and then he began to leaf through 《The Encyclopedia of Plants》.
“Knock, knock, knock.”
He hadn't been reading for long when there was another knock on the door.
Avia went to open the door, and this time, the one who entered was Chief Instructor Ryder.
Tyr was not too surprised to see him enter. He was absolutely certain that his use of Holy Power yesterday would be discovered.
To ensure the safety of all the reserves yesterday, they would have definitely monitored everyone's movements.
The scene of him using Holy Power would have undoubtedly fallen into their eyes.
“You can probably guess why I've come to see you,” Chief Instructor Ryder said, cutting straight to the chase after entering.
“If I'm not mistaken, it should be because of my dual magic powers.”
Actually, besides helping Sevira, his actions were also meant to test House Callis's attitude. Given Tyr's identity, House Callis was an obstacle he could never bypass.
Unless he hid his Holy Power forever, as long as he still wanted to use dual magic powers, he would have to face this issue sooner or later.
Judging by the family's attitude toward his old man, he wasn't particularly worried that they would harm him. At most, they would make him hand over the cultivation method for dual magic powers.
Thus, he simply brought up the issue directly now.
“The Grand Duke was highly surprised by your talent. He indicated that you need not have any concerns regarding this matter.”
“Remember your name: Tyr Callis.”
“If you can become a candidate in the future, you will represent the face of House Callis in the outside world. In this world, there is no power that can force you to make a concession.”
Grand Duke Callis's meaning was clear. The cultivation method for dual magic powers would definitely attract covetous eyes.
But as long as he could become a Grand Duke candidate, he would not need to have any concerns about this. House Callis would be his backer.
Whichever blind fool dared to eye his dual magic cultivation method, House Callis would naturally deal with them.
He did not need to compromise with anyone or any power, because there was no entity in this world capable of making House Callis bow its head.
In other words, he could use both magic powers as he pleased, without any need for hiding or forbearance.
“Is that all?” Tyr asked curiously, seeing Ryder stop speaking.
“What else did you want to hear?” Ryder asked.
“I thought the family would have me hand over the cultivation method for dual magic powers.”
Dual magic powers—unprecedented throughout history. How many chosen prodigies had sought them in vain and even lost their lives for them, and how many transcendents had yearned for them day and night?
Now that it was in Tyr's hands, did the family really not want to take a look?
“Hmph.”
Chief Instructor Ryder chuckled, his gaze resting on Tyr across from him as he spoke slowly.
“If you cannot win in this Grand Election and become the new Grand Duke Callis, it only proves that your dual magic cultivation method is nothing special.”
“Whether we have it or not will not affect the strength or status of House Callis.”
Having said this, Chief Instructor Ryder paused before continuing.
“If you achieve the final victory in this Grand Election and become the next Grand Duke Callis, then the entire House Callis will be yours.”
“Whether you want to pass down the dual magic cultivation method, whether you want to develop House Callis, and how you want to develop House Callis—that is all your own affair.”
